Albany County Rural Housing Alliance has 7 openings for qualified first time home buyers who are ready to purchase a single family home in Green Island or Albany County (outside the City of Albany). Preferably you should be looking but not yet in contract. Grants are in the ball park of $15,000 for down payment and closing costs. The higher income slots are filled and they are currently looking at households at 70% AMI or lower and a credit score of 680 or higher.
