A fundraising event will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at the Legnard Curtin American Legion Post 927 located at 35 Cohoes Avenue in Green Island. The fundraiser will begin at approximately 12 noon with a motorcycle ride from the post directly to I-787 where the motorcyclists will proceed on a 3 1/2 hour ride outside of the village before returning to Green Island. Brief traffic delays may occur at the intersections of Tibbits Avenue and Cohoes Avenue and Tibbits Avenue and I-787 from approximately 12:00 to 12:30pm as the many motorcycles proceed out of the Village. Delays may also occur between 3:00 and 4:00 pm upon their return.
The Green Island Police Department will assist with traffic in the area.
