The Black Bridge Trail is now substantially complete and features a new off road 900′ blacktopped trail as well as parking area, benches, bike racks, overlooks of both the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers, security cameras and kiosks which will display area historical data and current events from the Village of Green Island. The trail now connects Green Island and Cohoes and is located at the confluence of the three legs (Erie Canalway Trail, Hudson Valley Greenway Trail and Champlain Valley Trail) of the proposed 750 mile New York Empire State Trail.
