We have had an incident in Green Island recently whereby a contractor was soliciting his blacktopping services door to door without any permits or insurance to do so. Other local communities have reported similar incidents. Please note that this is an illegal practice and furthermore could result in a homeowner being scammed or worse yet victimized. If you have any contractor come to your door unsolicited for any work please call 911 immediately to report it and do not let them into your house under any circumstance. The police and/or code enforcement will investigate immediately.
