When it rains, stormwater runoff picks up then discharges pollutants into our streams, rivers, and ponds. By removing motor oil, paint, pesticides, and household cleaners from the waste stream, we can help protect our local waterways. |
Spring Clean-Up and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Day will be held together on Saturday, May 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the D.P.W. Garage on Cohoes Avenue. This service is for GREEN ISLAND RESIDENTS ONLY. Clean Up will be limited to one pickup truck load or two SUV/station wagonloads for the MONTH, not each week. HHW will be taken as stated.
